AREA FORUM/WARD GRANTS | |
Matter for Consideration: To consider applications under the Area Forum/Ward Grants Schemes. | |
Information: The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £20,000 to each Ward and the Area Forums have been awarded budgets equivalent to £7,500 per ward covered for the financial year 2013/2014. The funding for either scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community. Beacon Area Forum has requested: (i)£11,170.78 as a donation towards the upgrade and to make safe Warbreck Recreational Gardens Playground Area. (ii)£5,000 to Blackpool FC Premier League Kicks Project as a donation towards the purchase of sports equipment, sports venue costs and coaching staff costs. (iii)£2,035.19 as funding for CCTV Camera 67 located in Bispham Village for the annual maintenance agreement. (iv)£2,962.87 as funding for CCTV Camera 57 located on Bispham Road/Lowmoor Road for the annual maintenance agreement. Revoe Area Forum has requested: (i)£1,000 as a donation to New Revoe Residents Association for the residents to run community activities, a choir and a children’s club. (ii)£2,500 as donation to Lancashire Association of Boys and Girls Clubs for activities for young people from the "Club2go" Mobile Youth Club. (iii)£1,900 as a donation to Skool of Street for dance and drama workshops for young people during the summer holidays. (iv)£5,000 to Blackpool FC Premier League Kicks Project as a donation towards the purchase of sports equipment, sports venue costs and coaching staff costs. (v)£1,000 to Community Artists working with the Revoe Community to hold a graffiti arts project day in the area of Palatine Road. Sandhurst Area Forum has requested £1,000 as donation to Anchorsholme Scout Group to extend out of hall activities such as events and experiences used to achieve community badges and other awards. Councillors D Coleman and Elmes of Marton Ward have requested £4,700 for the purchase and installation of two alley gates at Fredora Avenue, to include £275 estimated advertising costs. Councillor Mrs Callow and Callow of Norbreck Ward have requested £500 to Anchorsholme Scout Group as a donation to allow the Scout Group to take a camping weekend in the Lake District. | |
